Contents and structure of the Course
Practice with Purpose! Is a Suzuki Continuous profesional development Course that will take place in the context of the 5th International Music Workshop of Boecillo.
The course includes specific sessions for teachers with three teacher trainers recognized by the European Suzuki Association, with extensive experience in working with both parents and teen-age students. This course also gives access to the observation of practical sessions in which we will see these teachers in action in master classes, group classes, sessions for parents and concerts.

Contents:
1. Where do healthy practice habits begin?
Parent education: initial and continuous. Promotion of autonomous practice.
2. Where do healthy practice habits continue?
Strategies aimed at organizing and monitoring practice at home.
3. The transition
When and how to make the transition from parent-guided practice to autonomous practice: concrete stages, specific steps, common challenges, most common mistakes, and effective practice formulas.
4. Supervision of autonomous practice by the teacher
Videos, audios, documents and use of technology to promote autonomous practice.
5. Defining goals and priorities:
Finding the balance in the review, the technical work, the urgent and the important.
Profesores
- Studied in Kunitachi Music High School (Tokyo) and Guildhall School of Music (Londres). Violin ESA TT, teacher at junior department at Royal College of Music. Violinist of the Insieme Chamber Ensemble, and co-director of the Keld Ensemble in London, travels through Europe both as teacher and performer.
